Five more Citrus Football Players have signed on to compete at the next level. Henry Karimu, Jonathan Shelley, Dexter Hunt, Walter Fosuhene, and James Brown have all moved on to their respective 4-year schools and are gearing up for the 2019-20 season.

Karimu, who competed in the 2017 and 2018 seasons for the Owls, signs on to NCAA DIAA Tennessee Tech. The All-Conference defensive end was one of the top d-line players in the state, leading the 2018 Owls in sacks with 13.5, yards lost on sacks with 68, 18.5 tackles for yards lost, 80 total yards lost, and averaged 3.5 tackles per game.

Shelley, a defensive tackle who also played in 2017 and 2018, making his mark as one of the top d-line players in California. The defensive tackle averaged 4 tackles per game in 2018, adding to that 5.5 total sacks, an interception with a 24 yard return, and 9 tackles for lost yards. Shelley was an All Conference selection and will be moving on to NCAA DII Florida Tech.

NCAA DII Tusculum College lands a blue chip player in Hunt. The gritty tight end was named player of the game in the 2018 Western State Bowl and garnered All Conference honors. Hunt amassed 9 receptions in 2018, averaging 10.4 yards per catch.

Fosuhene will join up with NCAA DIII Tusculum College. The defensive lineman moves on after a role playing job for the 2018 Owls, where he averaged 2 tackles per game and 0.5 sacks per game.

Brown, part of a one-two punch in the Owl backfield in 2018, racked up a significant stat line at Citrus. The running back competed in just one season at Citrus, but posted a cool 803 rushing yards on 127 carries with 11 touchdowns. The versatile athlete also recorded 11 receptions for a 10.3 average and 2 touchdowns. The All Conference selection will surely be an impact player when he continues at NCAA DII Missouri Southern.
