Compton, CA -- The Citrus College Men's Basketball team rallied from a halftime deficit and picked up their fifth win of the season on Wednesday night. The Owls did so on the road defeating El Camino College Compton Center by a final score of 90-81.

Citrus trailed at the half 42-40 on Wednesday. It was the third time that the Owls had been out scored in the first half this season, but just the first in which they were able to pull out the victory. Sophomore Steven Thornton Jr. led the way for the Owls with 23 points while freshman Terrell Todd added 19 off the bench.

With the win, Citrus improves their record to 5-3 on the year. The Owls are two games over .500 for the first time this year, and have now won three straight, their longest winning streak of the year. Citrus won't get a chance to run that streak to four games until next Tuesday when they take part in the Riverside 16-Team Holiday Tournament. The Owls open the week long tournament with San Diego City College at 3:00 PM in the newly refurbished Wheelock Gymnasium on the campus of Riverside City College.
