Riverside, CA -- After back to back losses the Citrus College Men's Basketball team finally got back on track Thursday afternoon with a 77-62 win over Fullerton College in the consolation round of the Riverside Holiday Tournament.
The Owls wasted little time in getting things going scoring 32 of the first 40 points of the game. At the half Citrus led 46-27 and never really looked back despite a late push by the Hornets.
In the win, Citrus was led by freshman Chris Reyes who scored a game high 26 points and grabbed a game 16 rebounds. Sophomore Daniel Cheek added 18 points, while freshman Justin Childress had 9 points, 4 assists, and a pair of steals.
With the win, Citrus improves to 5-3 on the year. The Owls will be back in Riverside tomorrow when they take on El Camino-Compton Center in the consolation semi-finals. Tip-off is set for 12:00 PM in Huntley Gym.
