Culver City, CA - With a potential post-season home game at stake, the Citrus College Men's Basketball did not get what they wanted on Saturday night when they travelled to West Los Angeles College for their 2015-2016 regular season finale. Instead of securing the spot, the Owls gave up an 11 point halftime lead, and a large double-digit lead in the second half in a 91-95 loss to the Wildcats, putting their playoff hopes on shakier ground.

The Owls were plagued by turnovers in the game, committing 21 total on the evening, compared to just nine for West LA. The Wildcats were able to get to the free-throw line 14 more times than the Owls, significantly contributing to Citrus' downfall.

In the loss, sophomore Mark Williams had a team high 24 points. Sophomore Caleb Richey added 12 and a game high eight assists, while sophomore Ryan Wiley had 10 and a game high 11 rebounds.

With the loss, Citrus falls to 14-13 overall and 8-6 in WSC South play. The loss puts Citrus' post-season chances somewhat in limbo, but thanks to strong RPI and Massey Ratings, the Owls should still be a post-season qualifier. The question becomes though where at in the 20 team field. The playoff announcement will come from the California Community College Athletic Association office on Monday.
