Citrus Men's Basketball hosted regional opponent Riverside City tonight, dispatching the Tigers 84-80. The win marks the 5th consecutive victory for the Owls in 2018.

Citrus controlled much of the first half, finding rhythm on offense early and establishing the trademark Citrus long range game. The Owls drained 11 threes in the first half alone. On the defensive end, Citrus held the Tigers to just 38% shooting from the field in the first half. But the Tigers made some tweaks at halftime and came out feisty. Riverside asserted itself on defense, slowing down the Citrus pace and getting key stops while playing catchup on the offensive end. The Tigers would push the Owls throughout the rest of the game, but couldn't close the gap, despite coming within 4 at the very end.

Colby Orr led all scorers with 21 and sank 4 of 7 from beyond the arc. Psalm Maduakor posted his 4th double double of the season with 19 points and 10 rebounds. Josh Caston dropped 14 points and rounded out his stat line with 5 assists, 4 steals and 4 rebounds.

The Owls move to 6-2 with the win, going into the Thanksgiving break. Citrus takes the floor again November 30th when it hosts the Citrus Invitational. Tipoff is at 5:00 PM vs. Southwestern.
