Men's Basketball moved one step closer to a 3rd consecutive Western State Conference East championship on Saturday with a decisive win over visiting LA Valley. The Owls defended their home court with gusto as they outdid the Monarchs 82-66.

Citrus caught fire from the three point line, a key part of their offensive system, hitting 43.6% from long range and sinking 17 triples on the night. Sam Gagliardi hit 5 of those, followed by Josh Caston and Psalm Maduakor each with 4, Jesse Elrod with 3 and Tryvon Watts-Hale chipping in 1. Maduakor posted another double double with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Caston scored 20, Gagliardi totaled 17 and Jesse Elrod scored 11 points in the effort.

Citrus improves to 18-6 on the season overall, with a squeaky clean 6-0 conference mark.

The Owls travel to Glendale on Wednesday to continue conference play. A win in Glendale would lock at least a share of the WSC East title. Tipoff is scheduled for 5:00 PM.
