Citrus Heats Up at Glendale College

No. 18-ranked Citrus College came out firing on all cylinders Saturday, rolling to a 102-77 victory at Glendale College.

The Owls improve to 10-5 on the year and 1-1 in the Western State Conference, while the Vaqueros slip to 9-8 overall, 1-2 in conference.

Six Owls finished the game in double figures as Citrus shot 55.2-percent from the floor, including 44.4-percent from three-point range. Anthony Tello led the Owls with 23 points (9-for-16), followed by Jayden Johnston's 15-point performance (5-for-8). Chris Chiles chipped in 13 points (4-for-6), while Dylon Davis added 12 points on 5-for-10 shooting. Francis Dogani and Lance Rodrigues rounded out the Owls in double figures with 11 and 10 points, respectively.

Nate Crawley led Citrus with 11 rebounds to help the Owls win the glass 42-to-37.

After the Owls held a staggering 48-21 lead at halftime, Glendale tried to launch a comeback and outscored Citrus 56-54 in the second half but it was a little too late as the Owls secured the 102-77 victory.

The Owls return home to host the College of the Canyons on Wednesday, tipping off at 5:00 p.m. in the Owls' Nest.
