No. 18-ranked Citrus College grabbed its largest margin of victory with a 103-61 win over Glendale College. Citrus has now won its last five games by an average 28 points.
The Owls improved to 14-5 on the year and 5-1 in the Western State Conference. The Vaqueros drop to 10-10 overall 2-4 in conference.
Every Owl who stepped on the court scored in the lopsided victory with six Owls finishing in double figures. Cedric Reed led Citrus with 21 points (7-for-14), followed by Jayden Johnston with 17 points (6-for-11). Leonard Turner added 12 points (5-for-7) while Chris Chiles, Aibigho Ujadughele (3-for-5) and Hayden Dykstra (4-for-9) each chipped in 10 points. Two Owls also posted career-highs with Reed grabbing six steals and Dykstra finishing with nine rebounds.
After only holding a five-point lead at halftime, 42-37, Citrus came alive in the second half. The Owls shot 59.5-percent from the floor, including 8-for-16 from three-point range, and grabbed 13 of their 17 steals in the frame.
Citrus turns right around to host LA Valley on Saturday at 3:00 p.m.
