Citrus College couldn't hold off a second-half surge from Cerritos College, falling 56-51 Wednesday night.

The third-ranked Owls drop to 3-1 on the year with their first loss of the season, while the fifth-ranked Falcons remain undefeated.

Jayden Johnston led the Owls with 10 points, while Chris Chiles and Anthony Tello each chipped in eight points.

Uriah Foster grabbed 10 rebounds to help the Owls finish with 48 on the night, just two shy of the Falcons' 50 boards.

Cerritos shut down the Owl offense, holding Citrus to a 27.1 shooting percentage, including just 16.0-percent from the perimeter.

Citrus has another tough opponent on deck, heading to 11th-ranked Riverside City College on Saturday for a 3 p.m. tip.
