Citrus Wins Third-Straight Game

Citrus College grabbed its third-straight victory with a 72-59 victory over Porterville College Saturday night to close out its home tournament.

The Owls improve to 6-2 on the year, while the Pirates drop to 4-6 overall.

Uriah Foster led the Owls with 20 points off the bench, shooting a perfect 5-for-5 from the floor. Jayden Johnston followed with 14 points and Anthony Tello chipped in 10 points. Aibigho Ujadughele posted seven rebounds in the game.

Citrus forced 36 turnovers, which resulted in 35 points for the Owls.

After shooting 30-percent in the first half, Citrus cleaned things up a little and shot at a 46.2 clip in the second half, despite shots from the perimeter not falling. The Owls took care of business at the charity stripe too, finishing 24 of their 31 free throws.

Citrus heads to the Fullerton Classic on Thursday, taking on LA Southwest at 3 p.m.
