Solvang, CA -- The Citrus College Men's Golf team captured another fourth place finish on Monday afternoon at the Western State Conference match hosted by Santa Barbara City College. The Owls rolled deep, claiming the fourth place finish despite not having a single golfer finish in the Individual Top 10.

Citrus top round of the day belonged to sophomore Daniel Olivas, who bounced back from a bad round against the University of La Verne last Wednesday, with a strong 78, good enough for 14th best round overall. The rest of the Owls weren't too far behind him.

Sophomore Jacob Rodriguez carded a 79 as did fellow sophomore Brett Smith. Freshman Alex Cheng had a strong day with an 80, while freshman Homerson So rounded out the scoring for the Owls with a 81. Those final two scores ended up being extremely important, as Citrus edged Glendale by a stroke and Allan Hancock by two strokes to grab the fourth place finish.

Citrus will be back out on the course next week, when they head North to take part in the WSC Event hosted by Bakersfield College. Tee-time is set for 10:00 AM at Bakersfield Country Club.
