Oxnard, CA -- After back to back strong showings in conference competition the Citrus College Men's Golf team limped to a fifth place finish at the WSC Event hosted by Ventura College at River Ridge Golf Club. The Owls finished more than 20 strokes back of the third place team, and had just one player finish under 80.

Sophomore Daniel Olivas led the way with a strong 75. After that it was a clump of Owls in the 80's. Sophomore Jacob Rodriguez and freshman Homerson So each carded rounds of 81, while freshman John Gaynor and Alex Chang each came into the clubhouse with 82's. Combined Citrus shot a 401 far from their best effort this year.

The Owls will be back out on the links come Wednesday when they go head to head with Orange Empire standard Santiago Canyon College. Tee-time is set for 11:00 AM at Tustin Ranch Golf Course.
