Tustin, CA – The Citrus College Men's Golf team took on a tough non-conference opponent head to head on Wednesday afternoon, and the Owls ended up on the losing side. Santiago Canyon downed Citrus 375-405 at Tustin Ranch Golf Course.

Sophomore Jacob Rodriguez led the charge for the Owls on the day with a low round of 77. Freshman Homerson So finished just behind him with a respectable 79. Unfortunately for the Owls, that was only good enough to be the fifth and sixth best scores for the Hawks, as they finished 30 strokes better than Citrus.

Freshman Josh Davis carded an 82 for the Owls, while sophomore Daniel Olivas came in with an 83. Freshman Alex Cheng scored the final round for the Owls with an 84.

Citrus will be back out on the course this Monday when they take part in the Western State Conference Neutral Site Contest. The contest will be played Soule Park Golf Course which is also the site of the WSC Championships in a month. Tee-time for Monday's contest set for 10:00 AM.
