Mangiaterra’s Season Ends at SoCals

Ventura, CA -- Citrus College freshman Samuel Mangiaterra had his solid 2015 campaign come to a close on Monday afternoon at the 2015 California Community College Athletic Association Southern California Championships. Facing the top golfers from around SoCal, Mangiaterra had a strong day, but wasn’t one of the two individuals to continue onto the CCCAA State Championships.

Freshman Tyler Hoefferle finished 19th overall at the 2015 WSC Championships with a two round total of 149.
Owls Fall to 7th at WSC Championships

Palmdale, CA -- The 2015 Citrus College Men’s Golf team’s season came to a close on Monday afternoon for all but one player. The Owls fell to seventh place at the 2015 Western State Conference Championships, ending Citrus’ team season. Freshman Samuel Mangiaterra’s 2015 campaign isn’t over yet though, as he advanced to the 2015 Southern California Championships thanks to his steady play throughout the season.

Ventura, CA -- The Citrus College Men’s Golf team finished the last regular season match of the 2015 season on Monday afternoon at the WSC Neutral Site at Olivas Links Golf Course in Ventura, CA. The Owls finished in fifth place with a 384.

Owls Finish Fourth at Tough WSC Glendale

Glendale, CA -- For the third time this season, the Citrus College Men’s Golf team came up with a fourth place finish at a WSC Event this time the WSC Glendale Event at Oakmont Country Club. On one of the toughest courses of the season, the Owls posted a team score of 399 just seven strokes off third place Santa Barbara City College.

No Place Like Home

San Dimas, CA -- Nobody said it better than Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz, and the Citrus College Men’s Golf team was proof that there really is no place like home on Monday afternoon. The Owls finished in second place in their home hosted WSC Event at San Dimas Canyon Golf Course, falling only to Santa Barbara City College and beating conference power College of the Canyons for the first time in recent memory.

Owls Move Into Fifth at WSC Allan Hancock

Santa Maria, CA -- After two straight weeks of finishing in sixth place or below, the Citrus College Men's Golf team moved up to fifth at the WSC Event hosted by Allan Hancock College. The Owls shot a combined 385, winning a card-off with Glendale College and finishing just one stroke behind fourth place Antelope Valley College.

Palmdale, CA -- After taking a week off from action, the Citrus College Men’s Golf team returned to Western State Conference match play on Monday afternoon at the WSC Event hosted by Antelope Valley College and Antelope Valley Country Club. The Owls struggled with the high winds on the day and finished in seventh place with a team score of 415.

Owls Settle for Sixth at WSC Ventura

Oxnard, CA -- The Citrus College Men’s Golf team resumed Western State Conference play on Monday afternoon at the WSC Event hosted by Ventura College at River Ridge Golf Club. The Owls lost a card-off with Bakersfield College and settled for a 6th place finish.

Sophomore Justin Hung was the leader in the clubhouse for the Owls for the third week running.
Owls Limp to 13th Place Finish at Pt. Conception Open

Lompoc, CA -- After two straight weeks of strong play at WSC Events, the Citrus College Men's Golf team took a break from conference action to take part in the Pt. Concpetion Open over the weekend. Battling bad weather, and stiff competition, the Owls limped to a 13th place finish.

Sophomores Justin Hung and John Gaynor led the Owls to another 4th place finish at the WSC Bakersfield Event.
Staying Steady

February 26, 2015

Bakersfield, CA -- For the second straight week, the Citrus College Men’s Golf team stayed steady in conference competition. The Owls overcame a soggy day and course, that saw higher scores than normal for a second straight fourth place finish.

Freshman Tyler Hoefferle shot a two-under par 70 at the 2015 Eagle Classic yesterday afternoon, tying him for 4th place out of 95 golfers on the day.

San Jacinto, CA -- Through five events so far during the 2015 Citrus College Men’s Golf season, a different individual has stepped in each of the events. This time it was the Hoeff for the Owls, as freshman Tyler Hoefferle fired a two-under par 70 to lead Citrus to a 6th place finish out of 16 teams.

Sophomore Justin Hung led the Owls with a round of 77 at the WSC Santa Barbara Event where Citrus took 4th place out of the eight WSC schools.

Solvang, CA -- The Citrus College Men’s Golf team moved up three spots from their previous week’s performance at their second WSC event of the season. The Owls finished in 4th place at the WSC Event hosted by Santa Barbara City College at Alisal Ranch Golf Course.

Freshman Samuel Mangiaterra was the low man on the day for the Owls at the first WSC event of the year.

Valencia, CA -- The Citrus College Men’s Golf team kicked off their 2015 Western State Conference slate on Monday in the WSC Event hosted by College of the Canyons. The Owls finished in seventh place as a team, but freshman Samuel Mangiaterra had a strong outing with a round of 75.

Victorville, CA -- Citrus College sophomore John Gaynor and freshman James Bragger combined to shoot a seven under par 65 at the 2015 Pnoomonia Open on Monday afternoon. The best-ball tournament pitted 10 teams from around Southern California, with the Owls tying for 6th Place.
