Owls Finish 10th in Season Opening Match

Riverside, CA -- The Citrus College Men's Golf program opened up it's 2015 schedule on Monday afternoon at the 2015 Riverside Invitational at Victoria Country Club. On a cold and drizzly day, the Owls finished in a 10th place tie with conference mate Ventura College.

Freshman James Bragger was the low man in the clubhouse on the day, firing a 76. Sophomore John Gaynor and freshman Tyler Bliss were just behind Bragger with rounds of 77. Freshman Samuel Mungiaterra came in with a 78, while sophomore Justin Hung rounded out the scoring rounds with a 88.

As a team the Owls' shot a combined 396. Citrus finished just nine strokes outside of a Top 5 team finish, and six strokes back of California Baptist University and Saddleback College who tied for 8th place.

Citrus' next scheduled match is set for this coming Monday when they participate in the Pnomonia Invitational hosted by Victor Valley College. Tee-time is set for 8:00 AM at Spring Valley Golf Course.
