Bakersfield, CA -- For the second straight week, the Citrus College Men's Golf team stayed steady in conference competition. The Owls overcame a soggy day and course, that saw higher scores than normal for a second straight fourth place finish.

Sophomores Justin Hung and John Gaynor led the pack for the Owls. Hung fired a four over par 76, which tied him for 6th place overall. Gaynor meanwhile carded an 80 which tied him with a slew of other golfers for 11th place overall.

Behind Hung and Gaynor were a trio of sophomores. Samuel Mangiaterra and James Bragger each shot 83's, while Tyler Bliss came in with an 84. As a team, the Owls shot a 406, 12 strokes off of third place Ventura and 10 strokes ahead of fifth place Glendale.

The Owls will take a break from conference competition to participate in the Pt. Conception Open hosted by Santa Barbara City College. The two day event starts on Sunday at 10:00 AM at Marshalia Rancho Golf Course in Lompoc.
