Owls Have Best Round; Settle for Fourth Again

Solvang, CA – The Citrus College Men's Golf team put together their best round of the young 2016 season on Monday morning when they participated in the WSC Event hosted by Santa Barbara City College. The Owls shot a season low, 381, getting a round of 70 from freshman Brandon Dooley, but settled for another fourth place finish after losing a card-off to third place Ventura College.

Sophomores Tyler Hoefferle and Benjamin Bencomo backed up Dooley's 70 with a pair of 73's. After that it was sophomore Tyler Bliss and freshman Kurtis Carasik shooting an 82 and an 83 respectively. The 381, was 17 strokes better than their second day effort  at the OEC Tee-Off Classic, and the Owls finished five strokes out of second place.

The Owls will get right back out on the links Wednesday morning at 11:00 AM when they take part in the Mt. San Jacinto College Eagle Golf Classic. The tournament will be hosted at Soboba Springs Country Club.
