Bakersfield, CA - The Citrus College Men's Golf team had their closest call on Monday afternoon at the WSC Event hosted by Bakersfield College at Stockdale Country Club. Just five strokes separated the first place team from the fourth place team, but unfortunately for the Owls they were the team in fourth, yet again, with a 390. 

 Sophomore Takakazu Furukawa made his return to the team on Monday, and had the third lowest round of any golfer on the day with a 74. Freshman Brandon Dooley was one shot back of that with a 75, while sophomores Ben Bencomo and Tyler Bliss posted rounds of 79. Freshman Justin Orona was the fifth scoring round of the day, posting an 83 for Citrus' total of 390.

Santa Barbara City College would end up winning the event with a 385. Ventura College would come in second with a 386, while College of the Canyons was third with a 389.

The Owls will continue WSC play next Monday when they travel to the WSC Event hosted by Ventura College. Tee-time is set for 10:00 AM at River Ridge Golf Club in Oxnard.
