Oxnard, CA - The Citrus College Men's Golf team continued their 2016 season on Monday afternoon at River Ridge Golf Club at the WSC Event hosted by Ventura College. The Owls continued to remain where they've been for the first three matches stuck in the middle in fourth place.

Freshman Brandon Dooley continued his torrid pace to start the season, firing a two under par 70. The round of 70 was the fourth lowest round of the day, and part of what kept the Owls in front of a hard charging Glendale College squad. After a tough outing last week, sophomore Tyler Hoefferle regained his form and rebounded with a 76. Sophomore Tyler Bliss added a 79, while freshman Benjamin Bencomo came into the clubhouse with an 80, and sophomore Takakazu Furakawa a 82.

As a team, the Owls shot a combined 387, just eight strokes behind third place Ventura College and 11 strokes back of second place Santa Barbara City College, but only 8 strokes in front of fifth place Glendale College.

Next weekend, the Owls will take a break from conference action when they take part in the Pt. Conception Open, which is hosted by fellow WSC member Santa Barbara City College. The first round is scheduled for a 11:00 AM tee-time at Marshallia Ranch Golf Course on Sunday, while the second round with take place against at 11:00 AM but this time at La Purisima Golf Course on Monday.
