Glendale, CA - For the second week in a row, the Citrus College Men's Golf team came in fifth place at a Western State Conference Event. This time it was a fifth place finish at Oakmont Country Club for the WSC Glendale Event.

Freshman Aaron Coiner was the leader in the clubhouse for the Owls, firing a 78 on a tough course. Coiner's 78 would tie him for 7th place individually. Two strokes back was sophomore James Bragger who tied for 11th individually for the last Top 15 spot by an Owl on the day. Freshmen Gabriel Sosa and Adam Dinaully would turn in a pair of 87's, while freshman Jonathan St. Ours had the final scoring round of the afternoon with his 89.

As a team, Citrus turned in a 421. That put them four strokes back of fourth place Santa Barbara City College and a good 18 back of third place Ventura College. College of the Canyons ran away with the event, posting a round of 381, 17 strokes better than the day's host, Glendale College, who came in second place.

The Owls will be back in conference action next Monday when they take part in the WSC Victor Valley Event. Tee-time is set for 10:00 AM at Spring Valley Lakes Country Club.
