Citrus College closed out the non-conference portion of its schedule Friday with a 4-1 loss to Santa Monica College.
The Owls drop to 2-5-3 overall, while the Corsairs improve to 7-1-4 on the year.
Matt Morales was the lone scorer for the Owls, knocking in a pass from Andrew Garibian in the 87th minute but it wasn't enough to overcome SMC.
Manny Hernandez made nine saves in goal to try to keep the Owls in the game.
Citrus opens Western State Conference-South action on Tuesday, heading to Glendale College for a 5 p.m. kick off.
