Owls Falter in SoCals

Walnut, CA - The Citrus College Men’s Water Polo program saw it’s 2015 season come to a close on Friday afternoon when they faced conference rival Los Angeles Valley College in the second round of the 2015 CCCAA Southern California Regionals. The Owls dug themselves an early hole and never recovered in a 17-11 loss to the Monarchs.

Glendora, CA - The citrus College men's water polo team is back in the postseason for the second consecutive season. The Owls finished in second place in the Western State Conference once again and will be seated number five in this weekend's Southern California Championships.

Owls Finish Second for Second Straight Year

Valley Glen, CA - For the second straight year, the Citrus College Men’s Water Polo program came up just short of it’s overall a goal, a conference championship, and instead settled for a strong second place finish. The Owls opened up the 2015 WSC Championships with a 20-14 win over #3 Cuesta College before falling to a single goal to #1 LA Valley College for the second time this year 14-15.

Owls Wrap Up Regular Season With Big Win Over Ventura

Glendora, CA - The Citrus College Men’s Water Polo team wrapped up their 2015 regular season on Wednesday afternoon with a big win over Ventura. The Owls held the Pirates scoreless over the entirety of the first half on their way to a 19-7 victory.

Santa Monica, CA -- The Citrus College Men’s Water Polo team ran their win streak to four games on Wednesday afternoon when they travelled to Santa Monica College for a WSC showdown. The Owls rolled against the Corsairs 20-5.

Sophomore Mark Cordts scored eight goals, handed out three assists, and recorded six steals across two games for the Owls at the Fullerton Mini-Tournament.
Owls Wrap Up Non-Conference Schedule With Big Wins

Fullerton, CA -- The Citrus College Men’s Water Polo team wrapped up their 2015 non-conference schedule on Saturday morning when they headed down the 57 Freeway to participate in the Fullerton Mini-Tournament. The Owls won big in both games, defeating their host 26-10 and Grossmont College 18-8.

Owls Overcome Sloppy Start and Finish Strong Against Cuesta

Glendora, CA — The Citrus College Men’s Water Polo program overcame a sloppy start when they hosted Cuesta College in WSC action on Wednesday afternoon. The Owls trailed by a score after one, and were tied up as late as early in the third quarter. Citrus rallied though and used a 3-0 run to find some breathing room on their way to a 17-12 victory.

Owls Come Home With Split at Lancer Invite

Riverside, CA -- The Citrus College Men’s Water Polo team came back from Riverside this past weekend with a split, winning both games on Friday and losing a pair on Saturday. Most times that may be cause for alarm with the Owls, but this time around Citrus has nothing to hang their heads about as they took on four, four-year schools, losing to a school ranked #16 if the nation across all NCAA Divisions, and coming away with a victory over a university that received votes nationally.

Valley Glen, CA -- After last season’s breakout campaign by the Citrus College Men’s Water Polo program, there was only program that stood in the way of the Owls and their first potential conference championship in 12 years. Los Angeles Valley College. With the Owls continuing on the upswing, the Monarchs are the same old thorn, as they upended Citrus 20-17 in overtime in the two schools’ Western State Conference opener on Wednesday afternoon.

San Diego, CA -- The Citrus College Men’s Water Polo team headed South this weekend to take part in the 2015 South of the Border Invitational hosted by San Diego Mesa and San Diego Miramar Colleges. The Owls kept on cruising, running their win streak to eight and improving to 13-2 on the year with four straight victories.

Owls Wrap Up Undefeated Weekend at Mt. SAC Tourney

Walnut, CA -- The Citrus College Men’s Water Polo team finished the 42nd Annual Mt. San Antonio College Men’s Water Polo tournament with an unblemished record on Saturday afternoon. The Owls closed out the weekend with a 19-6 win over Southwestern College and a 15-9 victory over Palomar College.

Goalie Bradley Thomson stopped 16 shots and gave up just 12 goals in Citrus pair of wins during the first day of the Mt. SAC Tournament.

Walnut, CA -- The Citrus College Men’s Water Polo season continued on Friday afternoon with the first day of action in the Mt. San Antonio College Tournament. The Owls rolled on the day, defeating Chaffey College 22-4 in the morning before coming back later in the afternoon with a strong 13-8 victory over Orange Coast College.

La Verne Pulls Away Late Against Men’s Water Polo

La Verne, CA -- The Citrus College Men’s Water Polo program travelled a few miles East on the 210 Freeway on Wednesday night, to take on NCAA DIII University of La Verne. The Owls and Leopards put on a good show, but ultimately, La Verne pulled away late with an 11-7 victory over Citrus.

Glendora, CA -- The Citrus College Men’s Water Polo program won their annual home hosted tournament for the second straight year on Saturday afternoon. The Owls opened up the second and final day of competition with a 16-7 win over Ventura College before dropping Mt. San Antonio College 16-9 in the Championship Game for the second straight day.

Owls Off to Promising Start After Going 3-1 on Opening Day

Huntington Beach & Glendora, CA -- The Citrus College Men’s Water Polo program opened up their 2015 season on Friday afternoon and didn’t make it easy on themselves. The Owls played four games in the span of 10 hours and came away with a 3-1 record with their only setback coming to defending State Champs Golden West College.
