Wong Garners Conference Male Athlete of the Week Honors

Citrus College sophomore utility player Johnathan Wong is the Western State Conference Male Athlete of the Week for Week #3. Wong earned the honors after leading the Owls to a perfect 4-0 weekend at the 44th Annual Mt. San Antonio College Men's Water Polo Tournament. In the process, Wong scored 22 goals, drew 15 exclusions, and had seven field blocks and seven steals. In the opener with Saddleback, Wong was a perfect 8 for 8 on shot attempts, adding three field blocks, and a pair of drawn exclusions. On Saturday, Wong followed that up with a weekend high nine goals against Sierra College, to go along with three steals, five drawn exclusions, and three field blocks. Wong prepped at Claremont High School, and hails from Covina, CA.
