Swim: Owls Open Up Season at Larry Barratte Invite

Ventura, CA - The Citrus College men's and women's swim teams competed at the Larry Barratte Invite over the weekend.

On the women's side, Dynalee Huerta, Frncesca Vargas, Nataly Lazcano and Lauren Olivier teamed up for the 200-yard medley relay and clocked in at two minutes, 8.84 seconds. Cheyanne Lynn, Kate Carlyle, Michelle Klesck and Breanna Bailey weren't far behind, finishing the relay in 2:21.62.

Olivier also had a top-10 finish in the 200-yard IM, touching in 2:36.73, with Huerta and Vargas right on her tail at 2:37.28 and 2:37.31, respectively. In the 100-yard back, Olivier had the fastest Owl time once again, finishing in 1:13.93.

Vargas also had a top-10 finish, taking seventh in the 100-yard breast with a time of 1:18.71.

Antonio Aguilar finished the 100-yard butterfly in 1:01.08 to highlight the men's performances.
