Owls Continue Fight at WSC Bakersfield

Bakersfield, CA (Women's Golf) -- The Citrus College Women's Golf team continued their fight to keep improving yesterday afternoon at the Western State Conference event hosted by Bakersfield College at Stockdale Country Club. The Owls showed some signs, but still finished fifth out of the five competing teams.

Freshman Kandace Delgado continued to lead the charge with a round of 90. Sophomore Melissa Salas finished 11 strokes behind her with a 101, while freshman Marisa Piceno carded a 120. Sophomore Hannah Thurston rounded out the Owls scoring with a 121 for a team score of 432.

The Owls will take next week off, before getting back out on the grind on the 10th of October at the WSC event hosted by College of the Canyons at Simi Hills Golf Course. Tee-time is set for 10:30 AM.
