Owls Finish Third in Tough Bakersfield Event

Bakersfield, CA -- Scores were high all around on Monday afternoon at the Western State Conference Event hosted by Bakersfield College. No one broke 80, and the Owls finished in third place overall edging the host Renegades by three strokes to claim third place.

Freshman Paramee Suwantanma led the Owls into the clubhouse with an 87 on the day. Her 87, tied her for 7th place overall on the day. Sophomore Kandace Delgado finished four strokes in back of her with a 91, good for the 14th best round of the day. Sophomore Kristen Masters bounced back from a tough couple of weeks over 100 to break triple digits by carding a 99. Sophomore Marisa Piceno brought in the final scoring round of the day for the Owls with a 102.

The Owls will be back out the links to participate in another Invitational outside of conference play. Citrus will partake in the 4th Annual North/South Invitational hosted by Santa Barbara City College this Sunday and Monday at Morro Bay Golf Course.
