Santa Barbara, CA -- The Citrus College Women's Golf team headed up the coast this past Monday and participated in the Western State Conference event hosted by Santa Barbara City College at Santa Barbara Golf Course. The Owls just missed out on their best finish of the year, and instead found themselves finishing in a respectable third place yet again.

Freshman Paramee Suwantanma continued to lead the Owls out on the links, rolling into the clubhouse with a 79, the third best round of the day and two shots off the day's leader. Sophomore Kandace Delgado found herself back in the Individual Top 10, thanks to a solid round of 85, which put her in a three way tie for the ninth best score of the day.

Sophomore's Kristen Masters and Deondra Alcantara rounded out the Owls scoring with rounds of 95 and 98. For Masters it was her second best round of the year, just behind her second day of the season opening tournament at Indian Canyons Golf Course. Those two combined with the first two, totaled a 357 for the Owls, just seven strokes back of second place College of the Canyons.

The Owls will be back out on the course this coming Monday when they participate in the final regular season WSC Match of the season, the WSC Glendale Event. Course location and time will be announced prior to Monday.
