Lopez and So Keep It Going at WSC Canyons

Granada Hills, CA -- Citrus College freshman Lexandra So and Jamie Lopez kept it going on Monday afternoon at Knowlwood Country Club for the 2014 Western State Conference event host by College of the Canyons. The ladies stayed atop the WSC Individual Standings finishing first and second respectively.

So won the individual round for the third consecutive week, finishing her 18 holes with a 78. Lopez finished a single stroke behind her, with a 79, tying with College of the Canyons' top golfer for second place individually. After that it was freshman Brittany Thelen and sophomore Katherine De La Torre who rounded out the Owls' scoring. Thelen shot a 111, while De La Torre carded a 118, for a team score of 386 and another third place finish.

The Owls will take a break from conference action next weekend when they travel up California's Central Coast to take part in the two-day Morro Bay Tournament at Morro Bay Golf Course site of the 2014 CCCAA State Championships. The first round is set to tee-off at 10:00 AM on Sunday.
