San Dimas, CA -- The Citrus College Women's Golf team played host to the rest of the Western State Conference on Monday afternoon out at San Dimas Canyon Golf Course. Sophomore Lexandra So finished in first place individually, while the Owls settled for another second place that forced a three way tie for place in the overall conference standings.

So beat all over competitors by two strokes on Monday with her round of 71. Fellow sophomore Jamie Lopez was second in the clubhouse for the Owls with a 81, good enough for 5th place individually. Freshman Lexi Tunstad continued to show signs of improvement with a round of 84, and tie for a 7th place individual finish. Sophomore Brittany Thelen rounded out the scoring rounds, just edging freshman Mackenzy Shafer with a 97.

As a team, Citrus shot a 333 overall, just four strokes back of first place College of the Canyons and three strokes in front of third place Santa Barbara City College. The three schools are now tied for first place in the team standings with three regular season matches to go before the WSC Championships.

Next up on the Owls' dance card is a trip up North to Bakersfield for the WSC Event hosted by Bakersfield College. Tee-time is set for 11:00 AM next Monday October 12th at Kern River Golf Course.
