Solvang, CA -- The Citrus College Women's Golf team wrapped up their 2015 Western State Conference season on Monday afternoon with the conclusion of the 2015 Western State Conference Finals. The Owls finished the year in second place in the WSC, with sophomore Lexandra So and Jamie Lopez finishing in second and third overall, and qualifying as a team for the SoCal Finals for the first time in program history.

On the day, Citrus combined to shoot a 340, 13 strokes off their previous days effort and seven strokes back of first place Santa Barbara City College, and in a tie with College of the Canyons for the day. Citrus broke the stalemate via freshman Mackenzy Shafer's non-scoring round of 97, which was nearly 30 strokes better than the non-scoring round by Canyons.

Sophomore Lexandra So was the low woman in the clubhouse on Monday with a 78 that put her in a three-way tie for low round on the day. Freshman Lexi Tunstad was next in with a round of 81, while sophomore Jamie Lopez was four strokes back with an 85. Sophomore Brittany Thelen rounded out the scoring rounds with a 96.

The Owls will be right back out where they were this weekend, next weekend for the 2015 Southern California Championships. The opening round tees up on Sunday November 8th at 8:30 AM.
