With the Sophomores playing in their last regular season home game last night, the Citrus Women's Soccer team walloped the visiting Victor Valley Rams in a 7-0 decision.

The Owls showed up to play right off the bat, scoring 4 goals in the first half alone, allowing the coaching staff to freely sub sophomores into the game to maximize their play time. The sophomores did not disappoint as they facilitated 7 total goals on the night and held off the Rams for a shutout.

While sporting new cleats for the first time this season, freshman midfielder Kiana Ramirez busted out a hat trick during the effort. Two out of her three goals were scored in the 2nd half within just a few minutes of each other. Not to be outdone, forward Ruth MacDonaugh netted a pair of goals of her own, defender Karen Monzalvo and veteran Isabela Deleon both contributed a goal each. Notching 2 assists was Amber Delgadillo, joined by Samantha Galan and Samantha Ramirez who each pitched in an assist.

The win moves the Owls to 10-5-4 overall on the 2018 season, and they improve to 2-3-2 in WSC conference play.

Citrus takes the field next on Friday at College of the Canyons for what will be the last regualr sason game of the year. Kickoff is scheduled for 5:00 PM.
