Fighting Owl Women's Soccer continues to fire on all cylinders in 2019 conference play. The team played an away game at Glendale College on Tuesday, beating the home team 4-1, maintaining its perfect 5-0 record in the Western State Conference South, and extending its win streak to 6 games.
The Owls contained Glendale for much of the match, limiting the Vaqueros to just 2 shots on goal. Citrus, on the other hand, took 14. 2 of those goals went to forward Monica Perez, as she scored her 4th and 5th goals of the season. Isabela DeLeon and Katherine Gomez each contributed a goal in the effort. Sydney Estrada and DeLeon also recorded assists.
Citrus improves to 8-4 overall in 2019, with a 5-0 conference mark. The Owls take the pitch again on Friday in a conference game at home against Canyons. First touch is at 3:00 in the stadium.
