Glendora, CA - Citrus College sophomore defender Zeanna Silva got good news over the holiday break. The leader of the Owls staunch defense, became the third Owl in program history to be named a California Community College Soccer Coaches Association (CCCSCA) All-Southern California honoree, and capped things off by being named to the CCCSCA All-State team, the first in the program's history.

In 2019, Silva was named the first ever Defensive Player of the Year in the Western State Conference South. She was part of a defense that acquiesced just 24 goals this year, the fifth fewest in the WSC. The Owls went on to post a 1.11 GAA, the fifth fewest in the conference. Silva also served as a major part of Citrus' set pieces, pounding home four goals this season. She finished her Citrus career with 42 starts in 42 career games, notching six career goals.

The 2019 Citrus College Women's Soccer season was one for the record books. The Owls went 15-6-1 overall and 12-2 in WSC South play. The 12 wins totaled 36 points in conference play, two more than the next closest team, leading to the first ever conference title in Women's Soccer for Citrus College.
