Citrus College kept rolling with a 3-0 victory over San Bernardino Valley Friday afternoon, its best start to the season since 2007 when the Owls also started 5-0.

The Owls remain undefeated on the year at 5-0-0, while the Wolverines slip to 2-5-0 on the year with the result.

Just three minutes into the contest, Citrus found the back of the net. Jade Poveda played a long through ball onto the path of Abigail Salvador, who easily tucked away her breakaway opportunity.

Samantha Casas doubled the Owls lead halfway through the half, heading home a rebound off the crossbar, 2-0.

Casas struck again in the 56th minute to all but seal the victory for Citrus. With a free kick just inside the Wolverines' half, Poveda drove it into the 18-yard box, connecting with Casas' head to extend the Owls' lead to 3-0.

Maddy Moris made two saves to keep the fifth consecutive shutout for the Owls.

Citrus – which has outscored its opponents 17-to-0 – heads to Ventura College on Tuesday, kicking off at 6:30 p.m.
