Citrus College stayed hot with a 1-0 victory over Ventura College Tuesday to keep its perfect 6-0-0 record intact. The Pirates slip to 2-4-2 on the year with the loss.
Jayme Beatty proved to be the spark for the Owls, coming off the bench to score in the 74th minute off an assist from Abigail Salvador.
Maddy Moris made five saves in goal to push Citrus' shutout streak to six-straight games.
The Owls close out non-conference action on the road, heading to Mt. San Antonio on Friday for a tough matchup. Citrus will look to seek some revenge on the Mounties, who last year ended the Owls' season in the CCCAA SoCal Regional first round and finished the year with a No. 5 national ranking.
