Card Carries Owls at Mt. SAC Invite

Walnut, CA - Freshman Megan Card was the top performer for the Citrus College Women's Swim team over the past weekend at the annual Mt. San Antonio College Swim and Dive Invitational. The freshman had three Top 20 performances. 

 Card's top performance came in the 100 Back. Card finished in 8th place individually with a time of 1:10.20. Card also had a top performance in the 50 Back, finishing in 8th place out of nearly 100 swimmers with a time of 31:54. Card, who was the Owls' backstroke specialist this weekend, also posted an 18th place finish in the 200 Back (2:28.38).

The Owls also had five other Top 20 performances on the weekend. Freshman Clariss Romero finished 17th in the 50 Back (32.46), while freshman Hunter Olivier posted an 18th place finish in the 100 Free (58.68). Freshman Chloe Barrocas had the Owls top time in the 200 Free (2:09.00), while sophomore Marissa Kasnetsis finished in 17th in the 100 IM (1:11.18). The Owls best relay performance would come in the 4x50 Free Relay with a 10th place finish and time of 1:50.03.

The Owls will be back in the water for their first quad meet of the season this coming Friday March 3rd. Citrus will be going head-to-head with Allan Hancock, Cuesta, LA Pierce, and the day's host Ventura College. The meet is set for a 11:00 AM start. ​
