Glendora, CA -- Citrus College sophomore volleyball player Cassandra Freitag has accepted a scholarship offer from NCAA Division II Dallas Baptist University. Freitag was a two-time All-Western State Conference South Division selection in her career at Citrus.

Volleyball Has Five Owls Named All-Conference

Glendora, CA -- With their 2014 campaign at a close, the Citrus College Volleyball program had five individuals recognized for their play throughout the season. Sophomores Kyla White and Cassandra Freitag were both 1st team All-WSC South selections, while freshman Kristen Fox was a 2nd team selection. Sophomore Kaylee Johnson and freshman Samantha Jape were both named Honorable Mention selections.

Everything’s Coming Up Robles

Glendora, CA -- Citrus College sophomore Alyssa Robles saved her best performance of her two-year Owl career for her last match. The 5’6 defensive specialist put together a complete match, with four kills, three aces, and four digs as the Owls swept visiting West Los Angeles College in straight sets.

The Owls were swept in straight sets on Friday.
Favor Returned

Lancaster, CA -- 23 days after the Citrus College Volleyball team handed visiting Antelope Valley College a straight set sweep at home, the Marauders returned the favor. The Owls struggled from the get go on Friday, in straight set loss to AVC.

That Homey Feeling

Glendora, CA -- Whenever Citrus College and Bakersfield College meet up on the volleyball court, you’re guaranteed at least one thing, that the match will be competitive. As of late the other thing you can pretty much count on is that the home team will win, as it has now happened in six consecutive matches between the Owls and the Renegades after Citrus’ four set victory over Bakersfield on Friday.

No Upset for Owls Who Fall in Four

Santa Monica, CA -- The Citrus College Volleyball team got things off to a great start on Friday night in Santa Monica against the 17th ranked Corsairs. They didn’t end so well though as they fell in four sets 25-23, 18-25, 15-25, and 21-25.

Owls Look Good in Sweep of Glendale

Glendale, CA -- The Citrus College Volleyball team put together one of its more impressive outings of the 2014 season Wednesday in a sweep of Glendale College. The Owls committed just 11 total hitting errors, and posted a team hitting percentage of .308 with a 25-19, 25-22, and 25-23 victory.

Owls Lose To Canyons in Four

Santa Clarita, CA -- The Citrus College Volleyball team headed up to College of the Canyons on Friday afternoon and were sent back home with a loss in four sets. The Owls only really got it going in the one set losing, 15-25, 13-25, 25-22, 16-25.

Volleyball Makes it Two Straight With Sweep of West LA

Culver City, CA -- The Citrus College Volleyball team won their second straight match on Friday afternoon when they swept their night’s host West Los Angeles College. The Owls got contributions from all over, winning 25-18, 25-16, and 25-5.

Exacting Some Revenge

Glendora, CA -- The last month and half hasn’t been pleasant for the Citrus College Volleyball program, which headed into 2014 with expectations high. After suffering losses in eight of their last nine contests, the Owls got what they needed when they exacted some revenge against Antelope Valley College with a straight sweep of the visiting Marauders on Wednesday night.

Owls Fall in Four at Bakersfield

October 21, 2014

Bakersfield, CA -- The Citrus College Volleyball team hit the road on Friday afternoon for their annual trip up the 5 Freeway to the 99 to take on Bakersfield College. Citrus showed promise in a few sets, but ultimately fell in four 17-25, 25-17, 15-25, and 24-26.

Swept Away

Glendora, CA -- The Citrus College Volleyball team had a good chance on Wednesday evening to insert themselves back into the conversation in the Western State Conference South Division race when they hosted State #24 Santa Monica College. Instead the Owls were swept away, 25-19, 29-27, and 25-10.

How Sweep It Is

Glendora, CA -- After struggling through most of the end of September and in the early going in October, the Citrus College Volleyball team got just what the doctor ordered on Friday night when they hosted Glendale College. The Owls got their first sweep of the year, defeating the Vaqueros, 25-16, 25-19, and 25-10.

Full Strength Owls Fall In Five

October 09, 2014

Glendora, CA -- The Citrus College Volleyball team was finally at full strength for the first time in three weeks on Wednesday night when they opened up Western State Conference South Division play. The Owls went toe to toe with WSC South favorite and State #19 College of the Canyons, but ultimately fell in five.

Glendora, CA -- The Citrus College Volleyball team dropped their fifth straight contest on Wednesday evening when they hosted Ventura College in a Western State Conference cross-divisional contest. The Owls fell in a tight five sets, 25-20, 22-25, 21-25, 25-23, and 10-15.

Glendora, CA — The Citrus College Volleyball team was handed it fourth straight sweep on Friday afternoon when they played host to State #23 Orange Coast College. The Owls had very little fight on the day losing 25-10, 25-16, and 25-13.
