It’s Not How You Start

November 11, 2016

Santa Monica, CA - Prior to Western State Conference South Division play, things arguably could’t have been more difficult for the Citrus College Volleyball team. Citrus didn’t pick up their first victory until their 13th game of the year, and they entered conference play with a 2-15 record. The Owls proved that it’s not how you start, but how you finish as they never lost sight of the bigger picture and never gave up. That effort paid off as they finished off conference play a solid 4-4 after beating Santa Monica College in four sets on Friday evening in their final match of the year.

Owls Battle Brahmas

November 09, 2016

Glendora, CA - When Los Angeles Pierce College comes calling at the Owls’ Nest, there are usually two things that you can count on. First, is that the Brahmas will be good, and coming into Wednesday night’s Western State Conference contest with the Owls, Pierce was 23-3 overall and ranked #2 in the State. The second thing is that the Owls will almost always battle the Brahmas no matter what the records are, and Citrus did just that despite being swept in straight sets 16-25, 19-25, and 19-25.
