Citrus College battled in its final non-conference match before Western State Conference action begins next week, falling 3-0 (25-12, 25-16, 25-13) to Santa Barbara City College Wednesday night.
The Owls drop to 4-8 on the year while the Vaqueros improve to 4-6.
Caren Stone and Sabrina Evangelista led the Owls with six kills apiece, while Kalin Greene and Gabriella Aguilar each chipped in five kills. Vanessa Marquez dished out 20 assists on the night to move the Owl offense.
Defensively, Stone finished with seven digs, while Alexis Aguayo and Evangelista each posted six digs. Aguayo also had two aces in the match.
The Owls close out non-conference play on Friday as Ventura College makes a visit to the Owls' Nest.
