Citrus College couldn't hold off Western State Conference-South undefeated College of the Canyons in a 3-0 loss (25-17, 25-21, 25-16).
The Owls drop to 6-14 overall and 2-5 in WSC-South action. The Cougars improve to 13-7 on the year and remain perfect at 7-0 in conference play.
Sabrina Evangelista led the Owls with nine kills and 14 digs on the night, while Miah Soriano and Kaline Greene each chipped in six kills. Vanessa Marquez posted 26 assists, while Alexis Aguayo finished with nine digs.
Citrus returns home to host Glendale College on Wednesday for a 6 p.m. match in the Owls' Nest.
