Six Owls Earn All-WSC Honors

Six Citrus College women's water polo players earned All-Western State Conference honors following the conclusion of the season.

Teghan Miller and Andrea Hayler each grabbed first-team honors, while Delaney Latham and Mia Meldrum picked up second-team distinction and Sierra Beltran and Amelia Wolfe earned Honorable Mention.

Miller, who also earned second-team All-SoCal and All-American honors, finished the year with 99 goals, which ranks third all-time in the single-season record book and was fourth in the State. The sophomore attacker also had 46 assists (eighth all-time), 95 steals (second in the CCCAA and tied for first all-time), 29 ejections drawn and four blocks on the year.

Hayler had a stellar collegiate debut and finished second on the team with 42 goals and had 66 steals, which ranked 11th in the State. She also had 28 assists, 26 ejections drawn and six blocks on the season.

Latham also had a solid freshman season, scoring 36 goals and dishing out 28 assists. She finished the year with 63 steals – which sits 14th in the CCCAA – 14 ejections drawn and two blocked shots.

Meldrum finished the year with 40 goals, 34 assists and 43 steals. She also drew 28 ejections drawn and had two blocks.

In Beltran's debut season, she scored 39 goals and dished out 23 assists. Beltran finished the year with 31 steals and four blocks.

Wolfe started all 31 games for the Owls and scored 30 goals on the year, while assisting 32 times. She finished the year with 24 steals, six ejections drawn and three blocks.
