Cross Country Closes Out Year at SoCal Championships

Costa Mesa, CA -- The Citrus College Cross Country team closed out their 2012 season on Saturday afternoon at the Southern California Championships. Freshman Julia Galvz led the four competing Owls, coming in 139th overall place.

Galvez paced Citrus on Saturday, finishing the 5K course in a time of 22:23. Fellow freshman Marilyn Meza crossed the finish line behind her in 143rd place and a time of 22:30. Sophomore Heather Hinostro was just behind her in 161st place and a time of 23:05, while sophomore Lovella Perea rounded out Citrus competitors by taking 183rd place and crossing the finish line in a time of 24:12.
