Lopez and Galvez Represent Owls Well at State Championships

Fresno, CA -- The Citrus College Men's and Women's Cross Country teams were well represented at the 2013 California Community College Athletic Association State Championships on Saturday afternoon in Fresno. Freshman Diego Lopez and sophomore Julia Galvez both made the Owls proud at Woodward Park.

Galvez started out the day for Citrus in the 5K race against the best of the best at the State level. Galvez had a strong race posting a time of 21:42.25 good for 175th out of 207 racers. After the women's race was complete, it was Lopez's turn at the starting line. Lopez finished the four-mile men's course in a time of 22:10.50, good enough for a 111th place finish out of 203 racers.
