Citrus College continued its season at the Canyons Cross Country Invite Friday morning and saw its first top-five finish of the season.

Adriana Torres led the Owl women by grabbing fifth place in the 5K. The sophomore crossed the finish line in 21 minutes, 47.9 seconds.

Navneet Ghotra took 17th after posting a time of 27:95.8, while Aris Carmona followed in 21st place (29:38.0).

For the Citrus men, Saul Mora was the top runner, clocking in at 24:55.0 for 17th place. Jason Bailey (27.32.3) and Joseph Cruz (27:33.2) were one right after the other, with Bailey just edging out his teammate by less than a second.

Giovaughan De La Cruz (29:20.7) and Weston Hakanson (29:26.5) rounded out the Owl men, taking 38th and 39th, respectively.
