Facilities

Citrus College Athletics Boasts some of the best facilities in Southern California, if not in the United States. We strive to run a first-class athletic program and we offer a first-class collection of fields and services for our athletes.

Renovations to the 10,000-seat football, soccer, and track stadium include an all-weather track and a field turf playing surface. A football field turf practice field was also built in 2005. Citrus also offers its athletes premium practice facilities: an Olympic-style free-weight training room, a double-circuit (64 station) fitness center, a therapy pool for injured athletes, and a brand new professional training room that opened in the Spring of 2011 with helpful staff.

Athletes also take advantage of our softball complex which was completed in 2009 and a baseball field that rates as one of Southern California's best, an Olympic-sized swimming pool, a 2000-seat gymnasium that received a renovation during the summer of 2008, and a 36-station golf driving range, all without ever having to step foot off the campus!

The Owls' Nest

The Owls' Nest

The 2000-seat Citrus gymnasium is home to our basketball and volleyball teams. The reverse dome building creates a unique environment for fans and for players and helps boost the noise level with large crowds, helping to give the Fighting Owls a great home-court advantage.

Citrus College Aquatics Center

The Citrus College Aquatics Center

Citrus College boasts a unique pool complex, housing our swimming and water polo teams. The beautiful facility was given a face-lift in 2005 with a new state-of-the-art scoreboard. In 2012 the pool received a complete replastering, ensuring its use for many years to come. The Citrus Pool is regularly selected as the site for regional championship events.

The Range

The Range at Citrus

Citrus Golf team members are able to take full advantage of The Range At Citrus, a golf practice center. The range features two hitting surfaces -- natural grass and mats -- along with eight target greens with bunkers, sand traps, 36 tees, a chipping area with bunkers, and a 2,500 sq. ft. putting green. The Range was recently outfitted with artificial field turf in the landing areas.

Citrus College Baseball Field

The Citrus Baseball Field

The Citrus College baseball program is blessed with one of Southern California's outstanding baseball facilities. The sunken diamond has dimensions that are 325 feet down both lines, 365 feet to left center, 385 feet center, and 400 feet in right center.

The field has sunken concrete dugouts with an all-weather surface, an auxiliary infield area and sliding pit and an electronic scoreboard. It has one of the top collegiate hitting instruction facilities. There are four covered batting tunnels and four covered pitching mounds for live hitting and pitching instruction.

Softball Complex

The Citrus Softball Complex

The Citrus College softball complex opened in the Fall of 2009. Featuring two fields the complex is home to two state-of-the-art scoreboards, artificial field turf outfields, synthetic infield dirt, and lights that allow for night games. The softball fields also host a full bullpen and batting cages.

Weight Room

Weight Room/Fitness Center

Citrus has two weight rooms to accommodate different training needs. The first is an Olympic-style free weight room: a gym with a combination of universal machines and free weights; and the second is a circuit training fitness center, which features a 64-station double-circuit. The Citrus College Athletic Department is constantly updating its weight room and fitness center, guaranteeing our student-athletes have access to the tools necessary for their success.

Training Room

Citrus is also home to two training rooms one, in the main gym area and the other in the Citrus College Field House. Student-athletes receive treatment and physical therapy regimens from the Citrus College Training Staff that can be carried out in both areas.
