Green Boasts Best Batting Average in Area
Citrus College's Chad Green has been an offensive threat for the Owls, boasting a .441 batting average – which ranks 17th in the CCCAA and third in the Western State Conference-South and leads the area.
The sophomore has played in 16 games so far this season, making 59 trips to the batter's box. Of his 26 hits, three have been home runs and four have been doubles for a .661 slugging percentage. Green also boasts a .539 on-base percentage with 10 walks on the year.
Green and the Owls come off an explosive offensive output on Monday, posting 18 hits against Antelope Valley College. Green went 3-for-3 with three walks, three RBIs and two runs. Citrus and AVC continue their series on Friday – originally scheduled for Thursday – at 2 p.m. on the Owls' turf.
