Owls to Host Western State Bowl

Citrus College has extra reason to be thankful this Thanksgiving after being selected to host the Western State Bowl on Nov. 25. 

The Owls are in the postseason for the second straight year and will host the College of the Canyons at 4 p.m. 

Citrus and Canyons met earlier this year when the Owls opened the season with a 34-28 victory over the Cougars. Since then, Citrus took third in its first season in the National-Central League, only surrendering losses to the top teams in the conference. The Owls come into the bowl game with a pair of wins under their belt after downing Orange Coast College 38-22 and Long Beach City College 48-34 to finish the regular season.

On the other end of the field, Canyons also took third in its conference, the National-Northern League. The Cougars come into the bowl game following a tight 21-19 victory over Ventura College to end the regular season.
