Johnston Leads Owls to Dominating Victory

No. 10-ranked Citrus College tipped the Fullerton Classic off with a dominant 95-70 victory over LA Southwest on Thursday thanks to some sharp shooting.

The Owls improve to 7-2, while the Cougars drop to 5-3.

Three Owls finished the game in double figures, led by Jayden Johnston's career-high of 22 points. He was on fire, shooting 8-for-14 from the floor, including 6-of-12 from three-point range. Ty Barlow followed with 15 points, missing just one shot in the game (7-for-8), while Dylon Davis chipped in 12 points (4-for-7).

Offensively, Citrus shot 46.2-percent from the floor, including 42.9-percent from distance. The Owls kept their own perimeter in check, not allowing a single trey from the Cougars.

Citrus continues the Fullerton Classic on Friday tipping off against Chaffey College at 3 p.m.
