Anthony Tello tied a program single-game record and helped No. 3-ranked Citrus College steamroll to an 86-47 victory over Glendale College Saturday night.

The Owls improve to 23-3 overall and 11-1 in Western State Conference-South action. The Vaqueros drop to 9-17 on the year and 3-9 in conference.

Four Owls finished the night in double figures, with Jayden Johnston leading the charge. He went 5-for-7 from the floor to post 15 points, while also dishing out four assists. Tello was a threat on both sides of the court, adding 13 points (6-for-9) and five assists, while also grabbing seven steals to tie the program single-game record – the last time an Owl grabbed seven steals was Jordan Jefferson back in 2014. Chris Chiles and Jamal Briscoe each chipped in 11 points.

Grant Martin led the rebounding effort for the Owls, grabbing six boards to help Citrus out-rebound the Vaqueros 39-to-31.

Despite a close first half, the Owls came out and dominated the second half, holding the Vaqueros to just 18 points in the 20 minutes.

The Owls opened the second half on a 13-0 run and didn't allow a Vaquero basket until almost five-and-a-half minutes into the frame. Citrus quickly built up an overwhelming upper hand, leading by as many as 42 points, before sealing the 86-47 victory with two free throws from Endigo Coleman.

Citrus closes out the regular season next week, looking to clinch the Owls' fifth conference championship in six seasons.
