Citrus Grabs Second Victory Over Ranked Foe

No. 10-ranked Citrus College picked up its second victory of the year over a ranked team on Friday afternoon, downing No. 17-ranked Cerritos College 94-71.

The Owls improve to 4-1 on the year, while the Falcons drop to 1-3 overall.

Five Owls finished the night in double figures, with another two right on the cusp. Tyrel Creger led Citrus with 17 points on 6-of-9 shooting, while EJ Bryson followed with 14 points on 6-of-11 shooting. Myles Blackman chipped in 13 points (5-for-10), Rudy Suarez contributed 12 points (5-for-7), and Malik Khouzam posted 10 points (2-for-5). Brandon Suber (4-for-6) and Grant Martin (3-for-3) were right on the cups with nine points each.

Martin also grabbed six rebounds, while Creger, Khouzam, JJ Mitchell and Brenick Soliday each snagged four boards.

Citrus has another ranked foe on its horizon, hosting No. 21-ranked Riverside City College on Wednesday at 1 p.m.
